Call: Pantone: Little Boy Blue                                                                                                                 DEADLINE |March 31, 2017
Pantone: Little Boy Blue invites all artists to create works of art that are predominantly the color, Little Boy Blue. This open call welcomes artists of all levels and mediums. This exhibit is a fundraiser for the gallery and an opportunity to bring together artists who have and have not shown at USG. The exact color was selected through online vote based on colors from the Pantone Spring Color Forecast. You can visit Pantone’s website for more information. The name of the color is Little Boy Blue, which will produce four swatches. Pantone 16-4132 TCX is the exact one we are sharing the RGB information on, which is 110 162 213. We know everyone’s screens are slightly different and not all calibrated the same. Please try to be as close to the selected color as possible.

You work should be predominantly this color. That statement is up for interpretation, but we have some suggestions. If you have a large focal point, you could make it Little Boy Blue. You could use values of Little Boy Blue for an entire work. This color needs to stand out in your work. Click HERE to see a promo with the color.

Call: Contemporary Nature                                                                                                                  DEADLINE | April 21, 2018
Artists are invited to submit work that provides a contemporary spin on nature or work inspired by local nature. Please see the page of examples that we feel bring a more contemporary approach to nature. Our inspiration for this show is using unexpected materials, perspectives, or presentation when working with nature as the subject matter. If you are choosing to be inspired by local nature, let us know where we can see this locally.

Call: Exhibit Proposals                                                                                                                           DEADLINE | April 28, 2018
Union Street Gallery is seeking exhibit proposals for consideration in 2019. Please click on the heading above for more details about what we are looking for and how to submit.

Union Street Gallery utilizes an exhibition committee, determined by the director and studio artists, to make programming decisions. If you are interested in submitting a proposal for a show, we encourage you to do so. This information will be kept on file and reviewed by the exhibition committee. You should NOT expect to hear back from us unless we are interested in the show or want to incorporate your work into other planned shows. Please complete the following form as a proposal for curated shows. Keep in mind we tend to have group shows, and very few solo shows. You can also send a link to your website as a solo artist. We maintain a record of this information. Curated show proposals and personal websites should both be sent to exhibitions@unionstreetgallery.org.

Review our calls for art. These group shows are juried and curated throughout the year on a regional and national basis. Participating in a juried exhibit is the best way to build a relationship with USG. We only accept submission through our Submittable website. Emailed or mailed submissions for these shows will NOT be accepted. Payments must also be handled through the website.
We occasionally have open calls where anyone can participate, but most shows are juried. Pay attention to the details in our calls for art.
