My art to me means freedom. It is a place that has no boundaries, no rules, no control, no wrong or right, no fault or blame. It is looking at the world, not from just one angle but in hundreds of ways. It is a reflection of my heaven and my hell and everything in between. Art allows me to lose myself and find myself.
My first memories are messing with things, mixing liquids together, mixing inks into other liquids. I liked the colors and the way they moved. I even drew with my sister’s makeup and made designs with my mom’s perfume. I had no limits; whatever I found I did something with it.
I wish to bring people out of their boxes and their illusions, to make them think. My goal in life is to work with special needs kids, to be able to use art to mentally and emotionally touch them, to get through to them. |
