As part of the process theme, "Altered Couture" Exhibit features clothing transformed by artists. Join, Dorita Fuller, Studio Artist, Labyrinth Designer, Weaver, and Textile Designer for an interactive discussion on transforming an item from your closet. The 1st Annual Plain Black Turtleneck Sweater Challenge happens Saturday, January 31, 1:30-3pm. Discussion includes conceptual and material processes for reinventing textiles. $5 donation requested for this event.

It’s all about the process at Union Street Gallery. During January and February thinking and making, or “process” will be explored.  Union Street Gallery is excited to share “process” both the conceptual and studio practice of professional artists with its audience.

The Gallery is hosting several exhibits exploring “process”:“process | The Exhibit" feautures 12 Studio Artists, solo exhibit by John Gutierrez, MFA "Writing into Painting", “Altered Couture”, and participatory interactive community art projects. “process” opens Friday, January 9 and continues through February 26. Special evening events are Friday, January 9 and Friday, February 13 from 6-9pm. Stop in at the Gallery for “process” and be an active participant!
